+ What age must my child be before they can start?

We are only licensed to accept children from 1 years to 5 years

+ How do I enrol my child?

Fill out our form and we will be in touch to discuss your application.

+ Do you cater for dietary restrictions and allergies?

Yes, our full time cook caters meals for all religious, cultural and allergy dietary requirements. If your child has allergies we will need an ‘Action Plan’ from your child’s doctor.

+ Can I bring a birthday cake for my child?

Absolutely! We love celebrating birthdays with our children and their families. We simply ask that you discuss this with your child’s educator prior to the day and send individual cakes such as cupcakes or donuts as these are much easier for us to distribute. The food supplied must NOT contain nuts or any traces of nut. Please bring in a list of ingredients to protect children with food allergies.

+ What if my child isn’t feeling well?

If your child is suffering from a contagious illness such as vomiting or diarrhoea, they will need to be absent from childcare until 24 hours after their last symptom. They will also need a doctor’s clearance stating they are no longer contagious. This also applies for when children have temperatures over 38 degrees Celsius. All absences must still be paid for.

My child requires medication, can they still come to childcare? As long as your child is not contagious, they are most welcome to come to childcare even if they need medication. Medication must be:

  • in its original container.
  • prescribed by a doctor for the child you would like us to administer it to with an appropriate chemist label attached.
  • handed to an educator and is never to be left in the child’s bag. Our educator will then give you the appropriate form to fill out and sign. Unfortunately, we cannot administer medication without a signed form or medication that has not been prescribed by a doctor for that child.

+ What if I want to cancel my enrolment?

You need to fill out our termination form, available from the office and ensure that you give at least 2 weeks’ notice. Your child must attend on their last day of care for you to be able to claim Child Care Subsidy as reduced fees. If your child does not attend on their last booked day you will be charged FULL fees as we are unable to claim Child Care Subsidy from the Government on your behalf.

+ Are all educators qualified First Aiders?

Yes all of our educators are qualified first aiders and regularly update their certificates. All educators have also gained their certificates in Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.

+ Can anybody pick my child up from childcare?

No, this is something that we are very strict about and take very seriously. On enrolment you are asked to nominate authorised contacts who you authorise to pick up your child. Only these people will be allowed to pick up your child and will be asked for photo identification before we will release your child to them. These people must be 18 years or over.

+ Is there a minimum amount of days my child can attend?

No, there isn’t a minimum but most of our children attend at least two day per week. We find at least two days per week is desirable. Anything less makes it hard for the child to get used to our routine, and it can take them a lot longer to settle into their new surroundings.
